Marvel Cave was the original main attraction in Silver Dollar City when the park was first concieved in 1960. The cave itself however has been around since 1500 AD. There are still tours of it regularly, and the cost of the tour is included with your ticket price to Silver Dollar City.
Silver Dollar City History
Silver Dollar City's original main attraction was Marvel Cave, where the first theme park was built around. It was opened in 1960 by Hugo Herschend, a Danish immigrant from Chicago, and his wife Mary. The Herschends had been leasing the cave as a tourist attraction and eventually introduced their idea for an 1880's Ozark Mountain Village. Thus Silver Dollar City was born.

Silver Dollar City features many other attractions aside from Marvel Cave. With 30 rides, including the brand new Giant Swing, as well as 60 different craft booths and multiple festivals throughout the year, it seems nearly impossible to be bored in Silver Dollar City.
